Questions about this product

Why Choose the Fujifilm Instax Mini 13?

Choose the Instax Mini 13 if you want photography to be simple, social and immediately enjoyable. Unlike a digital camera or smartphone, every photograph becomes a physical print that can be shared, displayed or added to an album within minutes. This makes it especially enjoyable at parties, weddings and family events where people can take a photograph and immediately have something to keep. Its automatic exposure system also removes much of the technical work. There is no need to manually select shutter speeds or apertures, making the camera accessible even if you have never used an instant camera before. The Instax Mini format is another major advantage. The prints are small enough to fit easily into wallets, albums and scrapbooks while still providing plenty of space for portraits, travel photographs and everyday memories.

Shooting Tips

Use fresh Instax Mini film. Check the expiry date and store unopened film in a cool, dry place. Do not open the film door after loading. Opening the back before the pack is finished can expose and ruin the remaining film. Let the photograph develop naturally. After the print ejects, leave it somewhere safe while the image appears. Do not shake the photograph. Modern Instax film does not need shaking and doing so will not make it develop faster. Use close-up mode for nearby subjects. This is particularly useful for selfies, portraits and small objects. Use the selfie mirror. Check your framing before pressing the shutter when taking self-portraits. Keep some distance for normal photographs. Avoid positioning subjects extremely close unless using the appropriate close-up setting. Watch the background. Instax prints are relatively small, so uncluttered backgrounds help your subject stand out. Use good available light. Bright, even lighting generally produces more attractive instant photographs. Avoid covering the flash or exposure sensors. Keep your fingers away from the front of the camera when holding it. Keep the camera steady. Hold it securely with both hands, particularly when photographing indoors. Protect undeveloped prints from extreme heat and strong sunlight. Allow the photograph to develop normally before storing it. Store spare film carefully. Keep Instax Mini film away from excessive heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Remember each photograph counts. With instant film there is no delete button, so take a moment to compose your picture before pressing the shutter.
