Lucky Color 200 35mm Colour Negative Film

Lucky Color 200 is a 35mm ISO 200 colour negative film with a distinctive warm, vibrant look and plenty of analogue character. Designed primarily for daylight photography, it produces punchy colours, particularly strong reds and warm tones, with moderate contrast and a noticeable but pleasing film grain.

The ISO 200 speed makes it ideal for bright outdoor conditions, sunny days and general daytime photography. It is a great choice for photographers who want something different from more neutral consumer films, offering a slightly nostalgic colour palette that works particularly well for travel, street scenes and everyday photography.

Lucky Color 200 comes in a 36-exposure, DX-coded 35mm cartridge and is processed using standard C-41 colour negative chemistry.

Questions about this product

Why Choose Lucky Color 200?

Choose Lucky Color 200 if you want an affordable colour film with a more individual look than many traditional consumer stocks. Its warm colour palette and stronger saturation give photographs plenty of personality straight from the scan. Reds, oranges and other warm colours can appear particularly vivid, while the moderate grain adds an unmistakably film-like texture. ISO 200 is also a very practical speed for daylight photography. It gives you enough sensitivity for handheld shooting while still providing good detail and sharpness in bright conditions. Lucky 200 is especially appealing to photographers who enjoy experimenting with different film stocks and want a distinctive alternative to familiar ISO 200 films.

Best Use For

Street Photography: Excellent for colourful shop fronts, signs, people and urban scenes in daylight. Travel Photography: A great film for holidays, city breaks and outdoor adventures where warm, vibrant colours can enhance the atmosphere. Everyday Photography: Ideal for days out, family occasions and general snapshots in good light. Portraits: Works well for casual outdoor portraits, particularly when you want a warmer and more characterful colour palette. Landscapes: Strong reds, greens and blues can add extra impact to colourful outdoor scenery. Architecture: Good detail and contrast make it suitable for buildings, colourful streets and interesting textures. Sunny & Bright Conditions: Lucky 200 performs particularly well when there is plenty of available daylight.

Shooting Tips for Lucky Color 200

Start at ISO 200. Shooting at the rated speed is the best starting point for predictable colour and exposure. Give it plenty of light. Lucky 200 performs best in daylight, particularly sunny or bright overcast conditions. Avoid heavy underexposure. Shadows can become dense and colour less predictable when the film does not receive enough light. Watch your highlights and shadows. Its exposure latitude is not as forgiving as some premium colour negative films, so accurate metering will help produce the best results. Use the warm colours creatively. Subjects containing reds, oranges, colourful signs, clothing and warm evening sunlight can look particularly striking. Ideal for compact cameras and SLRs. The DX-coded cartridge allows compatible automatic cameras to recognise ISO 200 automatically. Not the first choice for night photography. For very low light or long exposures, a faster film such as ISO 400 or 800 will usually be easier to work with. Develop using C-41. Standard colour negative processing makes Lucky Color 200 straightforward to develop at most photographic film labs.
