It is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy genuine monochrome film photography without having to load film or use a complicated camera.

Questions about this product
Why Choose Ilford HP5 Plus Single-Use Camera?
Choose the Ilford HP5 Plus Single-Use Camera when you want the distinctive appearance of traditional black & white film in an easy point-and-shoot camera. The major advantage is the film inside. Ilford HP5 Plus 400 is one of the most established black & white films, valued for its classic grain, good tonal range and ability to handle a variety of lighting conditions. Because the camera is already loaded, there is no need to understand film loading, aperture, shutter speed or manual focusing. Simply advance the film, compose the picture and press the shutter. It is an excellent choice for beginners, but it is equally appealing to experienced photographers who want a simple camera that encourages spontaneous photography without worrying about equipment or settings.
Shooting Tips
Use daylight whenever possible. HP5 Plus ISO 400 performs very well outdoors and in moderately bright conditions. Use the flash indoors. Rooms that look bright to your eyes may still be too dark for the camera without additional light. Allow the flash to charge. Make sure it is ready before pressing the shutter. Keep flash subjects relatively close. The small built-in flash is intended for nearby people and objects rather than distant scenes. Look for interesting light and shadow. Black & white film works particularly well with strong contrast, textures, silhouettes and directional light. Photograph simple compositions. Without colour, shapes, facial expressions, lines and lighting become more important. Avoid getting too close. The fixed-focus lens is better suited to subjects that are not directly in front of the camera. Hold the camera steady. Use both hands and press the shutter smoothly to reduce movement. Keep your fingers clear. Make sure you do not accidentally cover the lens, flash or viewfinder. Remember you have 27 exposures. Film encourages more deliberate photography, so take a moment to compose before pressing the shutter. Experiment with portraits. Window light, side lighting and textured backgrounds can produce particularly effective black & white photographs. Do not open the camera. The film is already loaded and should remain inside until processing. Tell your lab it contains HP5 Plus. This camera contains traditional black & white film and should be processed using appropriate black & white chemistry rather than C-41. Develop after finishing all 27 exposures. Take the complete camera to a film lab for black & white developing, high-resolution scanning and optional prints.
