Kodak Professional Ektar 100 120 Colour Negative Film
Kodak Professional Ektar 100 is a premium ISO 100 daylight-balanced colour negative film designed for medium-format photographers who want exceptionally fine grain, outstanding sharpness and rich, highly saturated colour.
In 120 format, Ektar 100 takes full advantage of the larger medium-format negative, producing excellent detail, smooth tonal transitions and impressive clarity for high-resolution scanning and large prints. Its vivid colour reproduction makes it especially suitable for landscapes, travel, architecture, nature, automotive and product photography.
The ISO 100 speed performs best in bright daylight or controlled lighting, where careful exposure allows the film to deliver crisp detail and vibrant colours. Kodak Ektar 100 is processed using standard C-41 colour negative chemistry, making it straightforward to develop at professional colour film labs.

Questions about this product
Why Choose Kodak Professional Ektar 100 120 Film?
Choose Kodak Ektar 100 in 120 format when your priority is maximum detail, fine grain and vibrant colour. The combination of an ISO 100 emulsion and the larger 120 negative makes Ektar particularly attractive for photographers who plan to create high-resolution scans or larger photographic prints. Compared with Kodak Portra films, Ektar generally produces a more saturated and contrast-rich appearance. This makes colourful subjects such as landscapes, flowers, vehicles, architecture and travel scenes stand out beautifully. It is especially suited to photographers who work carefully with exposure and composition and want a clean, detailed medium-format negative with a strong colour character.
Shooting Tips for Kodak Ektar 100 120 Film
Start at ISO 100. Box speed is the best starting point for accurate colour, sharpness and predictable results. Use plenty of light. Ektar 100 performs best in bright daylight or controlled studio lighting. Meter carefully. Ektar rewards accurate exposure and is generally less forgiving of major exposure errors than films such as Portra. Avoid heavy underexposure. Insufficient exposure can result in dense shadows and less attractive colour. Use a tripod when light levels fall. ISO 100 may require slower shutter speeds in overcast conditions, shade or around sunset. Take advantage of smaller apertures. In bright daylight, f/8 or f/11 can provide excellent depth of field for landscapes and architecture. Use its saturation creatively. Colourful cars, buildings, flowers, signs and natural scenery work particularly well with Ektar. Be careful with portraits. Ektar can photograph people, but its stronger colour saturation may emphasise reds and warmer skin tones. Portra is usually a better choice when natural skin reproduction is the main priority. Focus carefully. The larger 120 negative records a high level of detail, so focusing errors can be noticeable. Remember frame count depends on your camera. A 120 roll produces different numbers of photographs depending on whether your camera shoots 6×4.5, 6×6, 6×7, 6×9 or another medium-format size. Scan at high resolution. Ektar 100 in 120 format can produce highly detailed digital files when professionally scanned. Process using C-41. Standard colour negative processing is required.
