The Polaroid Now Generation 3 accepts two types of full-size Polaroid film: Polaroid i-Type Film This is the recommended choice for the Polaroid Now Gen 3. It is designed specifically for modern rechargeable Polaroid cameras and is available in both colour and black & white versions. Polaroid 600 Film The camera can also use Polaroid 600 film, including colour, black & white and compatible special-edition packs. Because the Now Gen 3 contains its own rechargeable battery, i-Type film is usually the most economical choice. Polaroid 600 film contains a battery inside the film cartridge for use with vintage 600 cameras, but the Now Gen 3 does not need that battery. Not Compatible With: Polaroid Go film or SX-70 film.

Frame your subject carefully and allow the camera to choose the appropriate focus zone. Keep your subject at least around 40cm away. The camera is not designed for extreme close-up photography. Use the flash for indoor photography. Instant film needs plenty of light, and the built-in flash can significantly improve indoor portraits and party photographs. Keep flash subjects reasonably close. A built-in flash cannot properly illuminate very distant subjects. Use good natural light whenever possible. Bright, even daylight can produce excellent results and more natural-looking backgrounds. Avoid shooting directly into extremely bright light. Strong backlighting can leave your main subject too dark. Try Double Exposure Mode. Combine portraits, silhouettes, textures or architecture to create unusual images on a single Polaroid photograph. Use the self-timer for group photographs. Position the camera securely or use the built-in tripod mount. Shield the photograph when it first ejects. Fresh Polaroid film is light-sensitive during the early stages of development. Do not shake the photograph. Polaroid photographs develop naturally and shaking will not make the process faster. Allow the image to develop fully. Development time varies depending on the film type and temperature. Store unopened film in a cool place. Refrigerated storage can help preserve film quality, but allow the sealed pack to return to room temperature before loading. Do not open the film door halfway through a pack. Doing so can expose and damage the remaining photographs. Keep the battery charged. USB-C charging makes it easy to recharge before holidays, weddings or events. Remember every photograph is unique.
