Polaroid SX-70 Instant Colour Film

Polaroid SX-70 Instant Colour Film is the classic instant film designed for vintage Polaroid SX-70 cameras, producing the iconic full-size square Polaroid photograph with its distinctive white border and unique analogue colour character.

Rated at approximately ASA 160, SX-70 film is considerably slower than Polaroid 600 or i-Type film and performs best in bright daylight, strong natural light or with suitable flash equipment. Its lower sensitivity contributes to the distinctive soft colour, gentle contrast and classic appearance associated with original SX-70 photography.

Each cartridge contains 8 photographs and includes a built-in battery to power compatible vintage cameras. The image develops automatically after ejection, typically taking around 10–15 minutes to reach its finished appearance.

Why Choose Polaroid SX-70 Film?

Choose Polaroid SX-70 film if you want the authentic experience of shooting one of Polaroid’s classic vintage instant cameras. Its relatively slow ASA 160 sensitivity gives SX-70 photographs a distinctive appearance with soft colour, subtle contrast and an unmistakably analogue feel. The film works especially well in strong daylight, where it can produce beautifully atmospheric portraits, travel photographs and everyday scenes. Another important advantage is that the film cartridge contains its own battery. Many original SX-70 cameras receive their operating power directly from the film pack, so a fresh cartridge powers the camera as well as supplying the photographs. For collectors, vintage-camera enthusiasts and creative photographers, SX-70 film remains one of the most distinctive instant-film experiences available.
